A Le Swing Jive evening provides a great way to meet people, enjoy yourself and keep fit.

Whether you’re a complete beginner with two left feet (don’t worry, we all start somewhere!) or a seasoned dancer looking to take your skills to the next level, this class is for you. We cater to all abilities, and our instructors will guide you every step of the way. Here are some tips for Modern Jive Dance Beginners.

How our Jive evening swings

We start with a Beginners class, we then go o­n to an Intermediate lesson for those who have a grasp of the basic moves and can learn the more complicated o­nes. To round off the evening the DJ plays some great music so you are free to dance with whoever you like, practice your moves and develop your style – we call this the Freestyle section.

Lessons are taught from the stage. To help the novice, the jive lessons are broken down into small segments. During the free style period, there are plenty of experienced Le Swing jiver’s who will be happy to help new dancers practice the moves.

The standards are extremely high. The music is wonderfully varied. The floor is spacious and made for dancing. The atmosphere is electric!
